Mission & Beliefs

Our mission

People's Community Church (PCC) equips and inspires its members to demonstrate the love of Christ through lives of sacrifice, service, fellowship, and the pursuit of an intimate relationship with Christ.

One Church, One Family, One Community

What We Believe

We firmly believe that these core, foundational truths anchor our faith and boldly guide our worship, fellowship, and service.

  1. The Bible

We lovingly cherish the Bible as God’s inspired Word, written by men led by Him, to gently guide us in living the Christian life and to lovingly reveal the principles by which He will one day judge us.

  2. The Trinity

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. Humanity and Sin

We believe God lovingly created us holy, but through the fall we became sinners in need of His grace.

  4. Jesus Christ

We lovingly confess that Jesus is God’s Son, virgin-born, who redeemed us by His blood, physically rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in power and glory.

  5. Salvation by Grace

We believe that God saves sinners purely by His loving grace through the work of His Son, Jesus.

  6. Forgiveness and Eternal Life

We believe that Jesus lovingly forgives the sins of all who trust in Him and, through faith alone, gives them the gift of eternal life.

  7. The New Birth

We believe that, to be saved, we must be born again.

  8. The Church

We believe the church consists of believers in Christ who have been baptized.

  9. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe that water baptism and the Lord's supper are to be observed by believers but are not a way to salvation.

  10. Resurrection and Judgment

We believe that all human beings will be raised from the dead at the appointed time to receive either eternal life with God or eternal punishment reserved for the devil and his angels.
